CARBIDE LAMP A-3

APPLICATION
Carbide lamp is used for individual lighting of the workplace in the atmosphere without harmful gases and coal dust.

TECHNICAL DATA
Height - 225 mm
Width - 115 mm
Weight of lamp without carbide - 1,25 kg
Luminous flux - 100 lm
Time of lighting with single - charge od 0,20 kg carbide - 8 h

CONSTRUCTION
The lamp, consist of two containers:
- lower container for carbide
- upper container for the water
The containers are connected together by means of bolt and set screw. The rubbur gasket makes the connection tight.
The burner is attached to the lower container by means of special holder.
The valve which controls the flow as well as water filter is placed into the upper container.
The reflector fixed to the upper container is designed for better luminous flux properites.
The lamp can be hanged by means of carrying hook.

OPERATION
Operation of the carbide lamp depends on using - as a light source - the flame of the burning acetylene which occours due to chemical reaction between carbide and water.
The valve is used in order to control the inflow of water into the lower container as well as the height of flame and luminous flux

OPERATION MODE
Before opertion
Fill in the container with carbide. The operating time of lamp depends on the quantity of carbide. The quantity of 0,2 kg is sufficient for operating time of 8 hours.
In order to obtain the correct flow of water, the special attention should be taken while distributing tube as well as its flange is being placed.
At this moment the lower container is filled up with carbide.
